My wife and I found Paso Terra this past weekend. Christina the owner was a delight, she helped us pick a wine and gave a few recommendations. We started with the crabcake trio with has excellent. For dinner, my wife went with the Halibut and I chose the Seafood Paella. It was truly one of the best meals we ever had. In these trying times they made the patio very quaint and romantic. We will definitely be back. Christina and Chef Andre, thank you for a wonderful experience
My friend and I stopped here because she likes vegan food. Great vegan crab cakes…I had the sand dabs which were cooked to perfection. Served with really fresh tender veggies. Really yummy and friendly
The setting is charming, the wine list short because it’s perfect, the food is creative and delicious, but the very best thing about this restaurant is Christina and Andre’, the owners. They are personally invested in making their guests enjoy a spectacular evening. Christina greets each guest with a welcoming smile (even when our party appeared an hour early for our reservation – oops!) We enjoyed a tasty amuse bouche while sipping champagne and hearing about the specials. The mustard crusted salmon filet was out of this world. While finishing our meal, Andre’ stepped out of the kitchen to greet us and ask about our meal in a way you know he really wanted our thoughts, our input. Then dessert and a cordial. Ahhhh.
This spot is special, the meal we most anticipate each trip to Paso, a short step across the street from our favorite inn, Hotel Cheval. Try this little gem. You will be charmed, too, I promise.
Great date night on the patio – 5 Star
We were in town for wine tasting and saw great reviews for this restaurant. I would definitely recommend as the service was great and the food was fantastic.
Chef Andre creates amazing dishes. He and his wife Christina make you feel like you are being welcomed into their home for dinner. Wonderful dining experience.
This restaurant is fabulous. Only wish we lived closer so that we could visit more often. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. Service is unobtrusive yet attentive. Quality of food is excellent and the owner(s) take the time to mosey around the dining room to mingle with diners. Highly recommend this restaurant. Looking forward to our next wine tasting venture so that we can enjoy another meal. All the adjectives I would choose to describe Paso Terra have been used in other posts. Amazing, delicious, wonderful, etc. etc. When you walk in the door you are immediately greeted and feel like a welcomed guest in someone’s home. The food exceeded expectations, the service is attentive and being visited by Andre the owner made for a very enjoyable experience. When in Paso Robles this is the restaurant for you if you are looking for a wonderful dining experience hosted by owners who define what the hospitality industry is all about.
I had one of the best dining experiences of my life last weekend. Being the foodies that Trish and I are it is hard to impress us. Chef Andre Averseng gave us a meal we will never forget. His restaurant, Paso Terra is a small place in the heart of Paso Robles. If you are ever in Paso do yourself a favor and check it out. I was ordering things i normally do not like and loving every bite.
Excellent! This one took us by surprise. We were in Paso Robles, and this place was very close to our hotel. Didn’t even check reviews before going. WOW! Outstanding food AND service. Second to none. The scallops were probably the best I’ve ever had – a super generous portion that I never thought I’d be able to finish. I managed 🙂 I wish I lived closer to this place so that I could try every single thing on their menu.
Had dinner at Paso Terra last night, wanted to try a different place this visit to Paso Robles! So glad we did! First, we were greeted by Cristina, chef Andre’s wife. She was so friendly! Food started arriving and everything was great, very fresh, well prepared, the portions were good – not too big, not too small. Reasonable prices as well. Chef Andre came out to talk with us and was a delight as well. A must go if you are in Paso Robles!
Great food.
What a great find! On a Saturday night when other restaurants were booked to the max, we stopped in here, expecting to “settle”. Instead, Chef Andre and his wife, Christine made us feel like visiting family! The food was amazing! One of our group was on a strict gluten free diet and the seafood pasta meal was incredible with a substitution of spaghetti squash. I enjoyed the scallops and an out-of-this-planet hazelnut torte for dessert. Right in the heart of Paso. Enjoy!
Great Chef.
What a treat!
Seafood with a French flair.
Great service and food.
Truly 1 of the best meals I have ever had.
Amazing food and service! The owners, Cristina and Andre, are so welcoming – just a general great vibe! Perfect place for dinner after a day in Paso!
